Media Relations Agency: This is mainly in the areas of music and entertainment and in other industries such as law, science, and education. Glenda Rush is a publicist who works on international PR campaigns with artists, labels and companies. She has been working with Naxos of Canada Ltd. since 2011 as a publicist for Naxos jazz and global music repertoire. This includes album launches with renowned record labels and artists such as ARC Music, Naxos World Music, Challenge Records, Storyville Records, Effendi Records among more. Vivo Musique has worked on additional independent projects such as lead publicist for the Jazz en Rafale Festival 2021 in Montreal, The Violins of Hope Concert in Montreal, Christine & Ingrid Jensen INFINITUDE album launch, Nanette Workman, The Montreal International Jazz Festival and Spectra Musique- Susie Arioli album launches among others. Other industries include Bergman & Associates Law Firm and the Ekomini Game launch. Emphasis is on individuality and the unique aspects of the project. Vivo Musique, Record Label & Artist Management: Founded in 2013 and dedicated to presenting Canadian-international artists and their original works of music. Launched the album Enamorarse en la playa by the Latin music orchestra, Rafael & Energía Dominicana, led by Rafael, a Montreal-based Dominican Republic-born Latin music singer, songwriter and bandleader. In 2017, the album was launched internationally by the historic world music label, ARC Music Ltd. UK. The album has received critical acclaim that includes a 4 x star review in SONGLINES Magazine UK. Rafael received the first “Merengue of the Year” award in 2015 from Latin Awards Canada for his composition “Tirando duro” and was awarded the “Public Artist of the Year” from the Latin Awards Canada in 2020. Rafael & Energía Dominicana debuted his career as a solo artist in the Dominican Republic in 2018 with performances at the Embassy of Canada in the Dominican Republic. He returned again in 2019 for a 4 x city media tour, performances, a video shoot and performed live with a full orchestra on some of the country’s most popular television programs. Glenda Rush (Glenda Marlene Ruch) is the founder and principale of Vivo Musique Internationale: a Montreal, Canada-based music company working in artist management, media relations, music promotion and production. Vivo Musique specializes in working with a variety of artists and projects, some already established with international profiles and activities, and others who are undiscovered gems. Vivo Musique’s musical focus is jazz, Latin music and global genres of music and works.
Glenda got her start in the music industry as a musician (bass player) and as an actress- after graduating from York University’s Theatre program, Faculty of Fine Arts (B.A. Honours) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. After some years working as a musician and actress, she started working in the music industry at PolyGram Records of Canada in Toronto and later on with Universal Music Canada’s Verve Music Group as a National Jazz Publicist where she had the honoured opportunity to work with some of the world’s most legendary and prolific jazz artists.
Glenda founded Vivo Musique Internationale based on a natural evolution of working on independent projects with Canadian- Latin music and jazz artists in bookings, production, media relations, artist development and promotion. She received the award “Manager of the Year” from Latin Awards Canada in 2018 and 2016 in recognition of her work with Dominican-Canadian Latin-Tropical artist-orchestra Rafael & Energía Dominicana.
In addition to Vivo Musique, Glenda has been teaching a course with the Audio Recording Technology program at Vanier College-CEGEP in Montreal since 2007. She leads seminars in career development, industry exploration, music promotion and marketing and shares her experience and knowledge with a passionate group of upcoming music creators.
Glenda has an Attestation de spécialisation professionnelle from the Ministère de l’éducation du loisir et du sport in Montreal, Quebec. She is a member of ACTRA and SOCAN in Canada but is mostly living and loving Vivo Musique.
